Wendy Noble ARNP
Wendy moved to Vashon from Wisconsin, where she worked as a Family Nurse Practitioner within the Mayo Health System, caring for patients in small farming communities. Her career also included service in the Alaska Tribal Health System and at a rural Navajo health center. As a volunteer, she provided care at a free clinic for underserved populations and taught nurses in Cambodia.
On Vashon, Wendy helped establish the Public Health Care District and served for six years as an elected Commissioner. As a member of the Vashon Medical Reserve Corps, she also played an active role in the island’s COVID-19 response.
Now retired, Wendy recently helped develop a day program for people living with dementia and volunteers with organizations that support racial justice and immigrant rights. She also serves on the Board of Governors of a conservation organization dedicated to protecting endangered habitats in Indonesia.
Throughout her professional career and volunteer service, Wendy has been guided by the belief that the health and well-being of individuals and communities are closely connected.
